Open FILM AD
If FILM AD has no license yet, the activation window opens by itself.
Look for "Your machine code"
It is a code like A1B2-C3D4-E5F6-0718, made of 16 letters and numbers.
Press Copy
Paste it into your trial request or order. Already activated? Open Settings, then License, to see the window again.
Activation messages
FILM AD tells you what is wrong. Find your message below.
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| This key was made for a different computer. | Keys work on one computer. Send us the machine code shown in this computer's activation window and we will make a new key. |
| This license key is not valid. | Copy the whole key again, from the first letter to the last, with nothing added. If it still fails, email us the key. |
| This license key is incomplete. | Part of the key is missing. Paste the full key from our email. |
| The computer's date was set back. | Correct the date and time in Windows, then start FILM AD again. |
| Your trial ended on … | Buy a pass or a Lifetime key, then paste the new key. Your projects are still saved. |
| Please paste your license key. | The key box is empty. Paste the key from our email and press Activate. |
Other common questions
- New computer
- Install FILM AD on it, copy its machine code and email us. We will help you move your key.
- Lost key
- Email us from the address you used to order and we will send it again.
- Key has not arrived
- Check your spam folder. We send keys within 24 hours after confirming payment.
- Windows warning
- Choose More info, then Run anyway, if you downloaded the installer from this website.
- Status badge is red
- Close FILM AD and open it again. If it stays red, email us a screenshot.
